Hike, then ride….
Slow start, but who cares.. We are going to hike down to Rainbow Falls in Devils Postpile National Monument, have a late lunch, then come back and do a little riding. Tomorrow we plan to ride dirt biles to the ghost town of Bodie – which will be about 140 mile loop.

Take a swim at Rainbow, the water is warm. Try and hit Hot Creek while you are there, ignore the signs, everyone swims, stay away from the blue rock area. You will not regret it. Much better than all the other hot springs in the area. Go early!
Located, three miles south of Mammoth Junction on US 395 and three miles east of the airport (the last 1.5 miles is unpaved). You take the Airport Road and drive past the Hot Creek Fish Hatchery. Hot Creek is a phenomenon of live hot springs and fumaroles (gas vents) that heat a cold mountain stream.
