Day 6 – Jasper AB to Fernie, BC

First of all, thanks to all of you that are leaving comments. As always, they are appreciated no matter what is said-can't help but to laugh!
Canada is very beautiful and clean, but it is also very expensive to eat dinner in a bar or pub. Seems like every casual meal with a beer or two was $50 bucks apiece. maybe it was because we tended to be in tourist areas? Or is it because we drank more than two beers…
The next day our only goal was to get to Banff, then take it from there and perhaps make it back to the states. The weather was cloudy in Jasper and most of the way south as they were expecting showers the next day-hence we wanted to get further south.
As you can see from these photos (and the gallery) that it looked cold and was colder that day. it was also interesting to backtrack as the scenery does look different.
We left around 8:30, was in Banff by 12:30 and by 2:00 we were back in the sunshine with a surprise road that looked dull on the map was turned out great. Then when we hit the plains, bam, the winds. By 5:00 p.m. We headed back over another pass to get to the BC side were at 6ish we called it quits in Fernie British Columbia.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!! Did you post some plain pics, i.e., before the slide show? It looks like there’s unsuccessful posts (width=500, like before) I got out my old album from my trip in 83 and we’ve got many of the same pics. Almost 30 years later and it’s still pristine. More people and more towns, but the same majestic scenery.

Some sick scenery, absolutely amazing. $50 a meal, I hope that comes with the waitress to love you long time………….. sorry you are missing the heat, work and school here in beautiful OC..se habla espanol………..

So – you are done with the trip? wtf – how about doing something on the trip…do you just drive up – take some pics…and come home? How about fishing, hunting, something?? Seriously?…something happened when you began sticking a Beemer between your legs vs. a Hog…hmmmmm…do you no longer get the ‘hand signal’ from the Harely riders? Does it make you feel less masculine…I’m just sayin…( a poser who doesn’t ride dissing a 30 year riding veteran – what pot is calling whose kettle?)
Once again, great to see you two so happy together -fantastic!!

The pic’s are absolutely beautiful. Even look like you took some of them right out of a book. Was the meal really good????? At that price if should have melted in your mouth. Still am jealous wish we could take trips like you and Jimmy have. Just keep riding SAFE!!!!
