Mammoth to Lake Tahoe
Packed up and left Mammoth on a scenic route 395 to Twin Lakes. Coffee break in Bridgeport at cute 1800’s cafe and on to Twin Lakes.nbsp; D
Riding down the 395 the views were gorgeous.nbsp; You could see many areas where the past fires had taken out large areas of vegetation that now have new growth. Then from the 395 cut up the 89 which was a nice zig gag mountain road, pavement was perfect, doesn’t get any better than that. Stopped in Markleville for lunch and preceeded up the 89 and turned up the 50 to our home for the night Beach Retreat Lodge. Laundry, a walk down the pier. we saw the seadoo’s and decided we wanted to go for a ride. So we reserved a slot at 5 o’clock. Jimmy V. passed on the seadoo’s and went to see his friend that lives in area. We did some shopping, finished laundry (lost John’s chonnies) and went back to the pier for our ride. Water level is down about 7 feet from normal and you can walk out past the end of the pier in ankle deep water. By the time we got to go it was 5:20 pm and the wind had picked up making it a very choppy ride. We came in early and scheduled the rest of our ride for the morning.nbsp; Cleaned up and headed for the Sushi bar. Had a great dinner, Jimmy made it back and joined us. Another great day on the rode.
