Yellowstone National Forest or Redwoods National Forest, and all forests in between. Both places are beautiful. This is a trip with just Shai and I.

Shai and I don’t know yet which way we will head. I have left it up to him. We will leave either Tuesday night or Wednesday morning. This trip will has no real plan but to have fun, so let’s see how if unfolds.
We have preliminary packed up the bike to test out how it is working. Typical configuration, both of our foul weather gear in one saddle bag, electronics in the other and both of our clothes in the bag mounted behind the passenger. Jackets will go on the top of the saddle bags or the top of the rear bag. So far we have made it work.
Now to just decide where to go….

Wow ….what a great trip…you can’t go wrong with nature and both places are awesome…although the only time I have seen Yellowstone is in the winter with you!…Have an awesome time and keep the pics coming – your finger will be calloused by the time you come back…Shai is a lucky young man as we all had to wait way too long to go on trips like this – so kudo’s (again!!) to you for really doing an ‘above and beyond’ job of helping to raise him and show him all the cool stuff in life!! Have a great trip!!
Thanks Curro, and that Yellowstne trip we took in the wintertime was one of my ATF. We won’t be able to do that again in that form ever thanks to the environmentalists. Glad you and Carmella stepped up and took it on!
You’re right – you can’t go wrong. I’ve never spent any time in the redwoods. Yellowstone also offers the opportunity to zip up to the Tetons as well – 2 of my favorite places in Wyoming.
Have a great time! Shai certainly is lucky to have you in his life, and you’re lucky he still wants to hang out with an old fart like you …. did I say that? Woops – you’re not old!

True! It is nice, but it also has it’s drawbacks… but overall, it is nice. We will see where we end up, lol
