Lima, Peru to La Pa, Bolivia

Woke up in Lima at 7:15 a.m. after crashing at 2:00 a.m., 15 minutes before our wakeup call.
Lima is in a constant “June Gloom” times 10-it is much thicker than in LA. Apparently it is like this 6 months out of the year.
We head downstairs for a great breakfast included in our room rate- you won’t find one like this at a USA Radison!
We left a bit late from the hotel, and good thing the accident was on the other side of the street because we would not have made it to the airport on time. Watching traffic and observing our cab drivers skills, it appears lines in the street have no meaning here. Our cab driver pulled into the airport at 10:00 am, and our international departure time was 11:10 am.
Check in Tom’s bags, go through a line to pay a $31 airport fee, go through security, I get a pat down cause I’m packing steel in my hips, through immigration again to check out, and off to the gate. No problem, made it in time.
A quick trip out to the Tarmac and we are off to La Paz!
Last week I was riding dirt bikes in Ensenada Baja with Tom and Larry, one week later it will now be with Tom in Bolivia. Somebody pinch me…

no pinching you don’t want to wake up from this one till it’s over.

So glad you’ve had internet access so far. Hope you’ll be able to post as often while on the road. Keep safe and have a blast. We’ll all be watching.
