Labor Day Weekend MTB Ride – Saddleback Mtn

Our company gave us a 4 day weekend for this holiday weekend. Even though we have today (Friday) off, Paul and I are still going to labor by riding our mountain bikes up towards towards the top of Saddleback Mountain via Silverado Canyon and descend via Modjeska Canyon. This ride starts at Silverado Canyon at roughly 1,900 feet and we ascend 7.5 miles to 4,500 feet where we then grab Harding Truck Trail to have a sweet 9 mile downhill to 1,400 feet into Modjeska Canyon. It has been about 15 to 17 years since the last time I did this ride, which means I was that much younger too… Todays weather calls for sunny skys and high near 90 in Silverado. We hope to be at the top by noon.
This ride requires us to leave a vehicle at our destination so we can return to our starting point. We will have the SPOT tracking on to log the trip.
We are almost there!
