Just returned from a 4 day weekend of Baja riding (November 4 – 7th) and an amazing opportunity has come up.  The only catch is leaving this week (Friday, November 12th).

Tom, who is riding the America’s (Alaska to the tip of South America), generously offered up an opportunity to help him move an extra bike on his trip from La Paz to Santiago.  I long to do the whole trip some day (maybe when I retire) and to have an opportunity to do part of it will probably motivate me to start planning – plus I’ve run out of excuses not to go with Tom…..

I don’t really know what to expect – I haven’t been any farther south that Key West Florida.  I will be following Tom’s lead on this journey.  Tom has somewhat of an idea of what he want’s to see, but I think he is just going to see how the wind shifts to plan our route.

I’ll try an update this site daily, but I really don’t know the availability of internet access.  I will be having the SPOT traker on (probably on Saturday or Sunday), but other than that, I don’t know.
